If I had only 24 hours to live, what would I do?

Corrinne May has always been my favourite local artiste since secondary school,
such a beautiful person, beautiful voice, beautiful songs.
(':
Tonight I'm feeling at peace with God,
and His joy that's overflowing out of me.

I don't really know how to describe it,
but it's just so amazing.
God will make a way
Where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot see
He will make a way for me
He will be my guide
Hold me closely to His side
With love and strength
For each new day
He will make a way
He will make a way

Sang this during Children's Ministry Appreciation Lunch last Sunday,
and in that moment,
I felt my heart shed a tear.
Once again, I was reminded of His promises,

I hate it whenever I have my period because it makes me feel so emotional, grumpy and hungry.
):

On a better note,
the week's been slightly better.
Not that I'm catching up with my readings, but I'm understanding whatever I've been reading,
need to press on and maintain.

I owe so many backlog posts:
1. Last day of HongKong
2. Last weekend of summer
and more that I cannot already remember.

Back to Financial Accounting.
Gawd, I need to catch Brave soon.

Tuesday, August 28, 2012

Three things that once meant the world to me but I don't do anymore:
1. Bridge
2. Netball
3. HongKong drama serial
):
Whenever I study, I just keep eating and eating and eating.
I don't get it.

Last day at Smartz Playhouse today,
gonna miss my little rascals so much.

Even though it wasn't the best first week of school,
there's just still so many things for me to give thanks to God for.

Firstly, for a new familiar face in school, Baoyue.
(:
I know God really placed her here with me,
and really nothing beats having someone you can trust around you.

Secondly, I've had sufficient sleep the entire week.
You'd see why this is really important in the weeks to come.

Thirdly, for Charlene who has always been so encouraging and supportive even though she's all the way over at NUS Law.
So thankful for her for always making me feel so much better about myself and for always going all out to help me.
(':

Fourthly, for Minty who I met in the print room yesterday when I felt so shitty.
She's truly been my guide and comfort in law school.

And lastly, to God be the glory that one of my bestest friends in Law School, Alicia won the AG cup this evening.
:D

So many things to give thanks for,
time to pucker up and prepare for week 2!!
(:

Greater things have yet to come,
greater things are still to be done in this city.

We all have contentment, if only we can see that contentment is not the fulfillment of our heart's desire but the realisation of what we already have.
To bake or to study?

The rain always makes it feel like there isn't a need to go to school.

*screams* I HAD ELEVEN HOURS OF SLEEP LAST NIGHT!!!! SO BLISSFUL. (':
But, you do know that this isn't gonna last for long, right?

Financial Accounting is not funny at all,
ohno...

Monday, August 20, 2012

Once upon a time,
this song meant so much to me.
(':
And I believe it still does,
timely reminder last night.

Nobody know how weak I am, better than you.
Nobody sees all of my needs, better than you.
And nobody has the power to change me,
from what I was born to be.
Jesus be strong in my weakness,
Empower me.

Empower me,
like a rushing river flowing to the sea.
Lord send Your Holy Spirit flowing now through me,
til I'm living as Your child, victorious and free.
Send the power of Your Lord,
Empower Me.

So powerful.
The public holiday that make summer seem like it's prolonged when it's actually not.
False hope.

SUMMER IS OVER,
I cannot believe it.
)':

But maybe nothing really has changed from summer,
over summer?

Wish I had the ability to speed read.
):
I'm taking forever to complete just 124 pages of my readings.
Rascal Flatts.
(':
My favourite.
Right now I'm craving for that Wanton Mee at Block 164 and some Beef Curry Udon.

And this is just great,
the weather is PERFECT fo sleeping.
Tell me again why am I awake this morning of all mornings?

Soundtrack playing at Toast Box reminds me of my Black iPod Video.

Such nostalgia.

And I'm with my bestest study buddy ever, Salad.

Just like old times.

Please let me save up enough money for Tokyo and Europe.
And yes, my 21st party next year.
8k would seem pretty decent;
But where do I even start?

The calculator says 30$ a day.
Thoughtcatalog makes good food for thought tonight.

And they lied when they said "Non-drowsy" on the cough syrup box.
Bummers, I'm convinced that cost me my pass on my M5 test.
Today was a good day even though I failed my M5 test.

Tuition in the evening,
and met up with Zijie even later in the evening at Holland.
He is like my forever friend,
or rather kid, because I always have to look out for him.

Supper with my two bestest Ys from church after,
it's been too long since we last had a session like this.
And let's just agree that my life is the biggest joke because my problems always don't seem to be your everyday problems.
Ahh, but I just love you two because through it all, you guys always make me feel so happy about life.
(':

And on the way back in the car I was thinking,
"I started my summer with them, and we're ending it together. This is how my summer should end, and it's exactly how I want it to be"
My life is complete.

And our friend Yaanmeng says that if you google his name, it'd lead you to my blog.
Don't try.

Sunday, August 12, 2012

It was a wonderful weekend spent with my bestest and favouritest girls ever.
Will blog in detail soon.

Saturday, August 11, 2012

So many thoughts running through my mind tonight,
I don't know which bothers me the most.
Summer's just about to end, I wanna cry.

I'm back and suddenly it's like game on.

Day 5 of Hong Kong / Shen Zhen.

Breakfast at Australian Dairy Company,
which was also where I tasted the best scrambled eggs that I could possibly remember in my life.

Took a train down to ShenZhen and we shopped at a place called Dong Men Bu Xing Jie.
It was possibly the worst experience for most of them because it was their first time going to China.
I shopped quite a bit there though,
because the things were so cheap.

Had the worst dinner ever there.
Basically the experience at ShenZhen wasn’t the best so there isn’t much to blog in detail.
Oh, the bubble tea was damn good though.

No pictures today as well because the camera was in the hotel.
You know how they say that Shen Zhen has too many pick pockets,
so it's best not to bring along too many valuables.
Day 4 of Hong Kong.

Breakfast at the Macau Restaurant near our hotel.
The breakfast sets in HongKong are almost the same because they normally come with a bowl of macaroni, eggs, toast and a milk tea / coffee.
All for a price of 26HKD, which is very cheap in my opinion.

Headed to Ocean Park for the day.
I don’t get it but if you buy tickets from a man selling them randomly outside the MRT it’s 250HKD per person,
otherwise it’s 280HKD from the counters.

So the amusement park was really pretty but I couldn’t stand the fact that all the rides were not thrilling at all.
):
Mentioned to the friends that the only next thing that could possibly thrill me would be to jump down a building or skydiving,
something along that line.
From my experience at Lotte World and Ocean Park,
I’m convinced that I longer love amusement parks like I used to,
which is rather sad.

Dinner at Chee Kei Restaurant later that night.
They serve the most awesomest crab porridge ever.

Desserts at Sweet Dynasty after.
And because all of us were so tired,
we headed back to the hotel to rest for the night.

Oh wait, we didn't.
We stopped by the H&M near out hotel for some quick shopping before finally retreating back to the hotel.
Girls...
Day 3 of Hong Kong.

Took a ferry back to Hong Kong and checked into Royal Pacific Hotel,
which was also the hotel we stayed at for the remaining of our trip.
It was really convenient because the ferry terminal we arrived back from the Macau was exactly where the hotel was situated so that saved us quite a bit of time on travelling.

We had lunch at Jika Udon which was also one of the best meals we had.

Super good Beed Curry Udon

Shopped at Citygate Outlets at Tung Chung after.
The branded goods there are relatively cheaper though the collections are a bit old.
A relatively short there hence more pictures to make up for the lack of words.
(:

Got my hair chopped yesterday.
I feel as though I'm almost ready for school to start,
almost.
Just need my last holiday overseas and I'm good to start Sophomore year.

Two more weeks.
Faith is not the absence of fear, but the presence of a stronger trust in a greater God.

Why, Hello August;
I didn't expect you to arrive so soon.
Day 2 of Hong Kong / Macau.

Took a ferry down to Macau.
Just a heads up, if you’re intending to go to Macau from HongKong,
you might want to consider purchasing your ferry tickets a day or two in advance because we wasted about 3 hours waiting for the next available ferry,
which wasn’t a very smart move.

Reached Macau at about 4pm. (Notice how half our day had went by despite us waking up at about 8am)
We stayed at the Venetian Resort Hotel which was really really pretty.
Not too bad a hotel to stay at because they have a direct shuttle bus from the ferry,
though almost every other hotel has one too.
But the room was really spacious and all.

Had our most expensive meal of the trip at Imperial Treasure Restaurant situated in the casino beneath our hotel.
The food was decent but not exactly worth the price.
We spent about 800HKD on that meal.

Explored the rest of the Venetian Shopping Centre and headed down to St Paul’s Cathedral at night.
Basically it’s a tourist spot with side stalls to shop at but we arrived so late that almost all the stalls were closed.

Wasted yet another hour or so for a shuttle bus that brought us back to the hotel.
Had a little attempt at gambling in the casino downstairs before catching the finals of Eurocup later that night.

The highlight of my trip would be eating Lord Stow’s egg tarts again after first trying them during my Macau trip back in J1.
I remembered I bought back like two dozens of those because they were so good.

Took a ferry back to Hong Kong the next day.
(:
